Bebe Rexha Alleges Discrimination After Being Kicked Off Flight for Speaking Albanian
Los Angeles: Bebe Rexha is facing another difficult moment this year, as she was recently removed from a flight and has accused the incident of being a hate crime. The singer, who has had a tumultuous year involving on-stage projectiles and public disputes with G-Eazy, shared her experience on Instagram.
In a tearful video posted to her Instagram Story, Rexha explained that she was removed from the flight after speaking to a security agent in Albanian. She claimed that the agent, who she believed to be Albanian, responded with hostility and refused to assist her, leading to her being barred from boarding.
Rexha alleged that the security agent’s actions were discriminatory, stating, “I believe this is a hate crime because I am Albanian.” She also mentioned that the agent did not provide his name and continued to mistreat her. Rexha criticized the lack of intervention from female Lufthansa staff present at the scene.
She later discovered that the agent works for ATSG, a service company contracted by Lufthansa for document control. The singer has expressed frustration and concern over the incident, emphasizing the lack of support she felt during the encounter.
